Origami Blintz Base

The Origami Blintz Base supposedly got its name from the blintz pancake, which is a pancake whereby the 4 corners are folded into the middle to protect the pancake filling. This base is also known as the cushion fold because this technique of folding 4 corners into the middle is used in cushion making in Japan.

The Blintz Base is used in various origami such as the easy origami sunflower and the origami pleated box .
