How to Divide Paper into Thirds

Sometimes an origami design requires that we divide the paper into thirds. There are a few methods to do this so choose the one that best works for you.

The easiest way if you're using a regular 15cm x 15cm paper is to use a ruler and measure and mark every 5cm. Then fold.

Obviously this only works well if the size of your paper can be easily divided by 3.

Dividing your paper into thirds Method 2: Here's another way to get your paper into thirds.

Fold your paper into quarters. Then cut out one row and one column. You are left with a paper that's divided into thirds.
