Easy Origami Modular Crown

This is an easy origami modular crown that you can actually wear on your head! Because it's modular, you can either increase or decrease the number of units to fit anyone's head! This could be a fun origami to do during a kid's birthday party or whenever you want to be a king/queen/prince/princess. This is a model by Tomoko Fuse.

Easy Origami Modular Crown Step 1: Start with a 6 inch x 6 inch (15cm x 15cm) square paper, color side down.

Thicker, sturdier paper like cardstock or scrapbook paper works better if you intend to wear the crown.

Fold paper in half on both the horizontal and vertical axis. Crease well and unfold.

Easy Origami Modular Crown Step 2: Fold both the top right and left corners to the center.

Easy Origami Modular Crown Step 3: Fold the bottom edge to the center.

Easy Origami Modular Crown Step 4: Fold the bottom edge upwards again.

Easy Origami Modular Crown Step 5: Fold paper in half on the vertical axis. Crease well and unfold.

This is one modular unit. You need maybe 7 to 8 units for an adult and less for kids. With 8 units, the crown is approximately 7 inches (18cm) in diameter.
