Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 1: Start by dividing your paper into thirds. If you're using a regular 15cm x 15cm square paper, you can use a ruler, mark the paper at 5cm and 10cm then fold.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 2: Rotate paper. Fold paper in half on the horizontal diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 3: Fold paper in half on the vertical diagonal axis and make a mountain fold. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 4: Fold point A to B. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 5: Fold point C to D. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 6: Flip paper over.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 7: Fold E-F to G-H and lay paper on its side.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 8: Now we need to make an outside reverse fold . We do have a separate page of instructions on inside and outside reverse folds so please do check it out if you're not familiar with them.
We haven't made many of these. Most of the reverse folds we've made are inside reverse folds which are commonly used in many classic origami such as the crane.
To complete an outside reverse fold, make the diagonal fold for both sides of the paper as shown and turn the upper portion of the paper inside out.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 9: Repeat the outside reverse fold for the bottom half.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 10: Make the diagonal fold and tuck the tip into the bottom pocket as shown.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 11: Flip paper over. Make the diagonal fold and tuck the tip into the top pocket.
Origami Corrie Hexahedron Step 12: Here comes the amazing transformation.
Hold the flat piece of paper in between your thumb and index fingers. Gently squeeze the paper from both directions.
As you do so, the flat piece of paper will kinda puff up and turn into a 3D hexahedron!
And here's the completed origami Corrie hexahedron!
