Origami Modular Star Wreath

Origami modular star wreath is a combination of an 8-pointed star and wreath all in one! It is easy to fold and assemble. It can be used as a window or card decoration during the holidays.

Origami Modular Star Wreath Step 1: Start with a 4 inch x 4 inch (10cm x 10cm) square paper, color side up. You can use any size square paper you want but those were the dimensions we used.

We used cardstock/scrapbook paper for this origami.

Fold paper in half on the horizontal diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Modular Star Wreath Step 2: Fold the top tip to the center crease.

Origami Modular Star Wreath Step 3: Fold paper in half, bringing the bottom half to the top.

Origami Modular Star Wreath Step 4: Fold the top tip down to the bottom edge.

Origami Modular Star Wreath Step 5: Make a diagonal valley fold on the left side as indicated. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Modular Star Wreath Step 6: Repeat the diagonal fold you made in Step 5 on the right side. This time though, make a diagonal mountain fold.

This completes one modular unit.

Origami Modular Star Wreath Step 7: Repeat Steps 1 to 6 and make a total of 8 units.
