Easy Origami Container Step 1: Start by folding a blintz base . This is a commonly used base in origami and we've created a separate page for it.

You should have the following to start with.

Easy Origami Container Step 2: Flip paper over. Make mountain and valley folds as shown below. These are the same folds we make when folding a square base.

Easy Origami Container Step 3: Collapse the paper into a square base . Check out the page on square base if you're not familiar with it.

Easy Origami Container Step 4: Starting from this step onwards, whatever you do on one side, you repeat for the other side so it's repetetive but easy.

Bring the bottom tip up to meet the top tip. Crease well and unfold.

Easy Origami Container Step 5: Pry paper open. Press paper flat and crease the edges, completing a squash fold.

Easy Origami Container Step 6: Flip paper over. We'll repeat Steps 4 and 5 on this other side. First bring the bottom tip up to meet the top tip. Crease well and unfold.

Easy Origami Container Step 7: Pry paper open and make the squash fold.

Easy Origami Container Step 8: Now bring the top flap from the right to left.

Easy Origami Container Step 9: Flip paper over and repeat Step 8 on this other side.

Easy Origami Container Step 10: Fold both left and right sides to meet in the center.

Easy Origami Container Step 11: Flip paper over and repeat step 10 on this side.

Easy Origami Container Step 12: Fold up the bottom tip. Crease well and unfold.

Easy Origami Container Step 13: Flip paper over. Fold up bottom tip. Crease well and unfold.

Easy Origami Container Step 14: Now flip the paper over so that it's standing.

Pull on the flaps and the paper will open and transform into a container!
