Origami Clam Shell Step 1: Start with a 6 inch x 6 inch (15 cm x 15 cm) square origami paper, color side down.
Fold paper in half on both diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Clam Shell Step 2: Fold both the top and bottom tips to meet in the center.
Origami Clam Shell Step 3: Flip paper over. Fold both sides to the center. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Clam Shell Step 4: Flip paper over again. Fold both the right and left tips where indicated.
Origami Clam Shell Step 5: Fold the bottom part up where indicated. Crease well.
Origami Clam Shell Step 6: Now fold it back down. Crease well.
Origami Clam Shell Step 7: Repeat Steps 5 and 6 on the top half so that both sides are now symmetric.
Origami Clam Shell Step 8: Fold the paper in half, bringing the right side over to the left. Crease well.
