Origami Table Base

Origami Table Base Step 1: Start with a 6 inch x 6 inch (15cm x 15cm) square origami paper, color side down.

Fold paper in half on both the diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Table Base Step 2: Fold paper in half on both the vertical and horizontal axis. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Table Base Step 3: Fold the left and right sides to meet in the center.

Origami Table Base Step 4: Fold the top and bottom halves to meet in the center.

Origami Table Base Step 5: Unfold Step 4 on the top half.

Origami Table Base Step 6: Make 2 diagonal folds as indicated.

Origami Table Base Step 7: Bring the top down and press paper flat.

Origami Table Base Step 8: Rotate paper 180 degrees and repeat Steps 5 to 7 on the remaining half.

Origami Table Base Step 9: Fold the top left and right tips to the top.

Origami Table Base Step 10: Pry the tips open then make a squash fold by pressing paper flat.

Origami Table Base Step 11: Fold down the remaining left and right tips.

Origami Table Base Step 12: Pry tips open and make squash folds by pressing paper flat.

Origami Table Base Step 13: We're now going to make petal folds on each of the 4 squares. Starting with the top right square, fold both sides to meet in the center.

Origami Table Base Step 14: Make the diagonal fold. Crease well and unfold this and the previous step.

Origami Table Base Step 15: Peel back the upper layer of the square.

Fold the sides back to the center to complete the petal fold.

Origami Table Base Step 16: Repeat Steps 13 to 15 on all the remaining 3 squares on the paper.
