Origami Tissue Lotus

This origami lotus is best folded with tissue paper, paper napkin or cloth napkin. Regular origami paper will generally rip or tear at Step 6.

Origami Tissue Lotus Step 1: Start with a square tissue paper, paper napkin or cloth napkin.

We used art tissue paper from Michaels.

Fold in half on both the diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Tissue Lotus Step 2: Fold all 4 corners to the center. Crease well.

Origami Tissue Lotus Step 3: Fold all 4 corners to the center again. (If you're using a large cloth napkin, you can fold all 4 corners to the center twice prior to moving to the next step.)

Origami Tissue Lotus Step 4: Flip paper over. Fold all 4 corners to the center.

Origami Tissue Lotus Step 5: Fold in the tips, 1/3 of the way to the center.
